GCash Jr was launched in 2022 to extend GCash's financial inclusion mission to the younger generation. It allows minors aged 7 to 17 years old to have their own GCash account with parental supervision, helping them learn about digital payments and financial responsibility in a safe environment.
Who Is GCash Jr For?
GCash Jr is designed for:
- Filipino or foreign national children and teenagers aged 7 to 17 years old
- Users with a registered Philippine SIM card (any network)
- Minors whose parent or guardian has provided consent and supervision
How to Register for GCash Jr
Download the GCash app on the minor's device and enter their Philippine mobile number. Tap Next and enter the OTP sent to their number. Select New Account and provide the required personal information. The registration process will identify the user as a minor based on the date of birth entered. A parent or guardian must review and provide consent to complete the registration.
GCash Jr Features and Limits
GCash Jr accounts come with age-appropriate transaction limits and features. Young users can receive allowances digitally, make payments at GCash partner merchants, buy load, and build healthy saving habits. Parents and guardians can monitor account activity and set spending controls.
Safety and Parental Controls
GCash Jr accounts include additional security measures appropriate for young users. Parental guidance is built into the account structure, and minors are restricted from accessing financial products not suitable for their age group such as GCredit, GLoan, and GInvest.
